ABOUT AVERY

Hey there!

​

I am Avery Meier, I am originally from Downingtown PA, and I moved to New York City in 2020 to pursue my BFA in Musical Theatre from Molloy University/ CAP21 Conservatory. Class of 2024 woohoo!!

I grew up in a quaint suburb, mediocrely participating in every sport under the sun, alongside my wonderful athletically inclined siblings. I woke up one day and realized dressing up and playing pretend was WAY more fun! A few (hundred) voice lessons, dance classes, and school musicals later, and here we are! My passions in life include musical theatre, my Saint Bernard and two cats, and baked goods (the order is not important).

My favorite thing about performing is the idea that me expressing myself in the most authentic way to me, can be enough to reach out and touch someone’s heart, and maybe even make them look at the world differently. Every time I am onstage, I feel extremely grateful that I have the opportunity to reach out to someone else and brighten their day, make them laugh, or even let them know they are not alone.

When I am not performing you can usually find me baking, trying out new cafes in NYC (always on the hunt for the best hot coco and reading spot), binging Netflix’s latest rom com, and spending time with the people I love!
